About Purposeful Play

Welcome to Purposeful Play Lex, where we believe that learning can be fun and engaging for even the youngest learners. Each 45-minute class is designed to incorporate integral elements to support and promote the enrichment of infants and toddlers.

Through our classes, we use music, movement, art, sensory exploration and other engaging activities to stimulate your child’s senses and encourage their natural curiosity. Each class is taught to both the child and their parent/caregiver, so you can participate and learn alongside your little one.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our classes, and to share the joys of Purposeful Play with you.

The Faces Behind

Purposeful Play Lex

I’m Terri, a Behavior Support Specialist based in Lexington, Kentucky. My work involves assessing and modifying behavior patterns to promote positive outcomes and well-being for individuals of all ages and varying intellectual abilities.

I strongly believe in the power of early intervention programs for children. They address developmental concerns, promote optimal brain development, and foster social, emotional, and academic growth, providing children with the best possible start in life.

Recognizing the need in our community, Danon and I created Purposeful Play Lex. Our program offers children the opportunity to interact socially and purposefully, nurturing confidence, creativity, and vital developmental skills. Through structured activities and games, we aim to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Join us at Purposeful Play Lex as we bring joy and excitement to children and their families in our community. Let’s connect and make a positive impact together!

I’m Danon Ditto, a behavior specialist with over 10 years of experience working with children in central Kentucky. My passion lies in helping children reach their fullest potential and find joy in academics and social interactions.

With a background in teaching and special education in the Mercer and Fayette County school systems, I specialize in providing thoughtful instruction that engages children at their current level. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Chair for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky, where I supported parents and their children with Down Syndrome.

Personally, I’m married to Stewart Ditto, and we have two wonderful children, Tripp (3) and Lilly (1). As a parent, I recognized the need for a program that promotes social interaction, confidence, and creativity in young children. That’s why I founded Purposeful Play Lex, which aims to bring joy and excitement to parents and their little ones.  I can’t wait to meet you all!
